We are calling on our politicians to sign the #NoFossilFuelMoney Pledge and the #OffAct Pledge. We strive to #OutlawPollution one congressional district at a time! Learn more about the pledges here! Join our monthly call !
The next decade is going to be instrumental in determining our way of life. If pollution levels remain constant for the next 20 years we will be over the 2°C outer limit set in the Paris Agreement which would mean catastrophic pollution levels.
Fortunately we have a solution which is the Off Fossil Fuels Act which transitions the energy economy to 100% renewable energy by 2035. Now is the time for every candidate to choose between dirty energy like fracking and coal or the life of the people and planet. We have no time to waste. It is up to us to transition to a clean energy future. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY.We can stop it. Let's make it happen.
Dirty fossil fuel money is corrupting our political system and blocking bold action on climate change. We need leaders that reject the influence of fossil fuel money and plan for a just, climate-safe, renewable energy future for everyone, not just the few.
Taking the pledge means that a candidate’s campaign will adopt a policy to not knowingly accept any contributions over $200 from the PACs, executives, or front groups of fossil fuel companies — companies whose primary business is the extraction, processing, distribution, or sale of oil, gas, or coal.
A pledge to be a leader on climate change issues and support efforts in the community to move us off fossil fuels and achieve a just transition to 100% clean, renewable energy and to oppose any project that will expand fossil fuel production, and its use or transport, and work to quickly phase out existing fossil fuel infrastructure in my jurisdiction.
A call to action for climate activists around the country to adopt their congressional district and focus on their congressional candidate to take the No Fossil Fuel Money and Off Act Pledges. If you would like to join on the action and lobby your congressperson for a pollution free district.Take a look at the toolkit.
